Position Summary:
We are looking for a multi-tasker with excellent communication skills and an upbeat attitude, providing polite and professional assistance to our staff and members via phone and email, and generally being a helpful and positive presence in the workplace. This is an IN PERSON position only.
To be successful as our A/P Clerk, candidates should be professional, polite and attentive while also being very detail oriented and highly accurate. They should always be prepared and responsive, willing to meet each challenge directly. The A/P Clerk must be skilled with PC computers, comfortable working with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office and be able to learn our operations software, ShulCloud.
Job Responsibilities:

Matching incoming bills to packing slips and/or purchase orders, verifying pricing and quantity

Processing all Accounts Payable, coding each expense and entering in QuickBooks

Mailing out A/P checks once prepared and signed

Filing paid bills

Assisting with billing our members during high volume periods as needed

Creating ad hoc reports/spreadsheets as needed
Minimum Qualifications:

2 years bookkeeping experience preferred

Computer skills: proficiency in applications including QuickBooks, Excel, Word and Gmail

Attention to detail and accuracy is of utmost importance

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to set and re-set priorities and multi-task effectively and independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment

Self-motivated and organized

Familiarity with Jewish religious and cultural customs are preferred but not required
